#30456 - RE: To Rob and Chris |
I happened to have the manual for that device... here are a few interesting facts:
-The Women module is the master processor. The Men module is the slave. Obviously. -The Men processor is not allowed to interrupt the women processor. However all Women processor interrupts are Non-maskable -The Women module, of course, requires a bigger heat sink. Quite often, the Men module itself is used as the heat sink. That probably explains the high device-failure rate in Men modules. -Four days a month the Women processor goes into hyperdrive and the Men processor better stay out of the way if it knows whats good for it. -The Women module also has a Data Acquisition card which logs all the errors of the Men processor into permanent memory. If the Men module ever tries to interrupt the Women module, this data is accessed and fed back to the Men procesor. -If the Women module and Men module are to be separated, the Women module takes along the entire housing, accessories and watchdog. -The Women module uses a logic incomprehensible to anyone except another Women module. Enjoy!! :-)) Kundi |
