thanks all of you specially educating me in compilers and assemblers i think i was interchaning the terms any way am carefull.


but the problem is there. I suspect that there is some problme with the compiler SDCC free C for 8051. i think the code generated runs by default on 89c2051 not on 89c51. to generate code for 89c51 i think you have to specify a mode.

- is there any free C compiler available on the net like SDCC. i have a lot of code in SDCC C and i have time to conver it in assembly.
