#3085 - Open Source TCP/IP - What happens now? |
I have sent two emails to Tof and received no reply of any kind. I have not seen him on the forum since his lasts posts in the original TCP/IP thread. It is my assumption he doesn't want to make his code open-source. I can somewhat understand that. Until there is an open-source version of TCP/IP, such a library is a very marketable beast.
I'm finising up some changes to 8052.com that will hopefully go live later today (Wednesday) or tomorrow (Thursday). When I get them online, I'll immediately get a TCP/IP form & area going and post a message to that effect here in the General forum. My intention is to create a new message forum specifically for TCP/IP Open-Source. It will be readable by the entire world, as will the source code, but only authorized members will have post rights [this, and the emailing list, were the main points that required I start a user signup area]. There will also be a control for updating the source code for team members. Give me just a couple more days and I hope to have this online. For those that want to start thinking about it, I think we need to assume we'll be working from scratch. Take care, Craig Steiner |
