#31051 - RE: AVR compiler - 8051 related |
Hi Erik,
I finally remembered the name of the other AVR compiler. It's made by ImageCraft, ICCAVR. I believe it's about $250. I asked them about bit variables after I got their demo, they said that bit variables weren't ANSI. Given the uC environment, I'd rather have the uC specific extensions. I wouldn't consider going between AVR asm and 8051 asm, they aren't that similar, particularly with regard to indexed addressing. Converting at the C source will be much easier. I think you won't have many problems converting between IAR AVR C and CVAVR, then to Keil K. AVRFreaks.net is a great resource. Dennis |
