I bought one infra-red transmitter and one infra-red receiver from the shop. Their outlooks like the LED with transparent windows. I want to ask that can anyone tell me how to use them properly? I tested the infra-red transmitter with multi-meter and found that it seemed a simple LED but not the receiver. The receiver always had a open-circuit even I tested with anode or cathode configurations. Can anyone help me?
