Hi List:

I have a requirement to measure the flow of Diesel from an underground tank to the 2 distrubution tanks on the ground level. The diesel is pumped from the Sump( Underground Tank ) and the flow of the Diesel to the tanks is controlled manually by a value.

I have not worked on anything like this before. I need help and guidence from the gurus on this list on the following

1) What is the transducer to be used so that there are no problem with the measuring circuit accidently starting a fire?

2) Kindly post any/all the considerations that has to be taken in working with a inflamable sunstance such as this?

I did "google". There were some useful information. I feel this list much more to say...
