To do this basically requires using two timers for the baud rate. Use TIMER1 for on side and TIMER2 for the other side. The typical 8052 programmable bits for the TIMER2 lets you pick individually to use TIMER2 for RxD and TxD. The other not on TIMER2 can revert to the more standard TIME1 source for its clock.
