Various 8051 variants from (even the) same manufacturer may have different programming algorithm and supply voltage requirements.
For example, Atmel micros are availabale in 5V and 12V programming. This parameter is electronically availabale in the signature byte. The programmer can read the signature byte and decide whether to program the chip at 5V or at 12V I recommend you to not use that programmer for AT89C52. |
