Hello all,

I am looking for some help on the Push and Pop commands, I have very limited experience with assembly language and am trying to modify a program's serial port operation to accept another type of data stream and the program is over 5000 lines of code. Now with the Pop and push commands exactly what are they used for and how do they affect the serial port operation and/or SFR's. I am sure this is a dumb question but all the 8051 refrence books dont explain real good (Not that I can figure out anyways) exactly what the command's do.
