#3294 - 8052.com Message Forum Search Engine
Good evening, folks. I come with good news.

It's been asked for time and time again, and now it's here: You may now search for information in 8052.com's message base, which currently has almost two years of discussions, for a total of more than 3000 messages.

To search for a message, click on the "Find 8052 on the Web!" button on the left-hand side of any screen on 8052.com. This will take you to the search engine. Enter your search word(s) and click "Search."

The search engine will first search and return any and all messages that have been posted on this message forum (newest messages first), followed by any references found on the rest of the 8052.com site, followed by any references found on any of over 40 8052-related sites.

When searching for content in the message forum, note that the search covers message topic, message text, and the name of the author of the message.

Also note that to perform a search you MUST use the facility accessed by clicking on the button mentioned above. Searching using the option that says "Search 8052.com!" doesn't yet perform this wide search. Within the next couple of days the "Search 8052.com" search will be updated to perform the new, all-encompasing search, but in the meantime, please use the method explained above.

The sites included in the search are pretty much the sites that are listed in the "links" page here at 8052.com. The only notable exceptions are semiconductor sites. Semiconductor sites will be added in a week or two.

I invite you all to use this new tool which, I expect, will make 8052.com much more useful and will help you find the information you need here at 8052.com as well as on the world wide web. I've already found a wealth of information, here and on other sites, by just playing with the search engine.

Normal disclaimer: Comments and bug reports are always welcome. :)

Take care,
Craig Steiner
