Emulator, not Simulator, I assume you mean ICE. Some of the VERY high cost chips e.g. Cygnal come with built in ICE hardware. If you are a hobbyist (Abdul, I do not believe you are) that is the way to go. If, however, you are making products for sale, you need to pay up front to keep the unit cost down. I suggest you have a look at the EB-51 boards from CEIBO, they are quite reasonable and have the advantage of not using bondout chips. Not using bondouts, if you change derivative, you just pop the chip out of your emulator and push the other in.
