i am trying to do this for a product with good production volume.

we were asked to to reduce end product price as much as possible. we did not compared the price between the two option we have now (rs232 terminal and build own through mc6845) yet. The RS232 terminal option is very much active now.

can you tell me more on the disadvantage we might have on using old chip (mc6845).
