------------------------------- Mahmood, got hold of a C/C++ book and want to show he can use every feature :-) LOL Erik What actually happened is that I'm helping my nephew (who is an IT student at university) with data structures. I thought that the only application for it in embedded systems is a serial port buffer. When you make a circular buffer you overwrite your data if a big bunch of data came at one time, while with linked list the memory is more flexible to a certain extent. Erik, you have to be open minded and creative regardless of your experience, the world is rolling and if you think you know it all you would soon be left behinde. Everyday a new problem ocuurs and the only solution would be by changing your way of thinking. Regards Mahmood |
