Seems the Fieldbus is not as popular as CAN or I2C around here. I guess that is because, it is designed and used more for field-use in applications that are distributed over a large area..eg Refineries. This is usually several 100 m.

Those sort of projects are handled by large companies... I guess most of the people on this forum have not worked on it since most of their smaller-scale applications dont need anything more than I2C or CAN?
