I must admit that the only time I've used the 93 series was with a 93c56 in 16bit org.I went to I2c to save pins years ago..

Most of the 93C46 datasheets I downloaded do not have the org pin,and are 16bit only..

I wrote some IAR C code to drive the 93c56 in 16bit org with the di and do pins tied together through a 1k res (again to save pins).I could post it if you want...
