#35063 - keypad interfacing |
Hey guys, I purchased a Paulmon board from the guys at pjrc.com, and I am currently trying to interface a Velleman 4x4 keypad to it. The board has 50 I/O lines, so I have plenty of lines to choose from. Do I need any extra hardware to connect the keypad to the board? This is where I have run in to the most trouble; actually interfacing the device to the board. The keypad itself has 8 ouput pins at its base corresponding to each column and row. Pin 1 is for column1, pin 2 for col 2, pin 3 for col 3, pin 4 for col 4, pin 5 for row 1, pin 6 for row 2, pin 7 for row 3, and pin 8 for row 4. Also, does anyone have code examples for inputting from the keypad and displaying it to an LCD,. Thank |
