I haven't used an ICE since I got my first FLASH MCU.

With in-system-programming its more dependable than attaching an ICE pod to a prototype. When you can change the code in seconds, an ICE debugger isn't worth the attachment hassles.

Yes, you have to change the way you write your code but we're happy our ICE units are out of the lab and being used as office paperweights. :-)
