Hi Erik
Remember .. The program for micro-controller is placed into serial EEPROM. That will never work, you need the program in a random access 8 bit wide memory. well apparently , the TUSB3210 downloads its program code into a serial eeprom via USB , then when it reboots , it looks into the eeprom for a boot signature , and if it finds one , it loads the contents of the serial eeprom into xram, and then executes it... I've never seen it done like this before..and it must take quite a while to boot up compared to the standard ways.. |
