Why did they use fuses, but also use an sfr?.
The fuse, when blown, make it match a Rx+ chip, I believe that this was done to avoid producing Rx+ chips after the new chips were introduced. I got the activity mixed up with the P89C66x chips where the clock divide for the timers is not configurable but based solely on the 6/12 clock fuse. Erik |
