I am using Keil and have about the same number of beefs with that as I have with most software.

The Raisonance users here have expressed their likes and dislikes here in the same words as the Keil users, so I do not think there is much difference.
As a matter of fact there is a possibility that I might switch to Raisonance, not because of being unhappy with Keil, but to have the same tools for the '51 and the XA.

I have, however not seen any positive commens about Tasking, are there any Tasking users that want to chime in.

Some years ago, at another company, I used HiTech and were quite happy with the tools - the editor stunk, but so what, I do not use the Keil editor either CodeWright rules. Can any HiTech users chime in, it would be interesting, since they sell at 1/2 the price of the others.

Of course, if any other C compilers exist, let us hear about the.

Let me post my wish list (saving the obvious: reasonable code coming out of the thing)

1) Responsive, free tech support that will actually fix problems, not state "when next release comes out it will probably be fixed". I can not stop developing because of a bug in my tools. If need be they can send you the previous version (which you lost when you updated) or whatever it takes to get you going again IMMEDIATELY.
2) An IDE with CodeWright as the editor.
3) (IDE?) support for CEIBO ICE.
4) Understandable and flexible build strings. E.g. I am currently from the commandline building 26 different versions using MAINLY the same source WITHOUT repeating information in the commandfile. The IDEs I have tried require me to create 26 build files to achieve this.
