looks like you want to avoid hardware due to cost not because you already have your PCB stuffed with dozens of chips........
If you can afford (or your clied won't get a heart attack for increasing the cost by a little) you can use a 555 timer. Just keep it reseting from the micro before time out. On time out 555 to reset the micro. Happy reseting BL |
