Many vendors that make LCD modules attempt to make their modules compatable with the modules from other manufacturers. They do this so that they can try to sell their products as second sources to their competitions customers. You should try to measure your module and record its vital statictics such as:
- Type: Character or Graphic - Technology: PC Board Module, TAB, COG etc - Module Size: Length x Width x Height - LCD Layout: X Coluumns by Y Rows - LCD Active Area: Length x Width - Interface Connector: Type X by Y pins Armed with this information you can visit the web sites of various other LCD manufacturers and and look to see if you can find a same type and same size module. If you find this then there is a good possibility that the interface pinning of the module may be the same or very similar to your Samsung module. Some web sites to look at would be those for LCD manufacturers like: Hantronix Varatronics Tian-Ma If you do a www.google.com web search on "lcd module manufacturer" you will find MANY links. I hope this helps Michael Karas |
