Just to add 1 more suggestion, Maxim has a great 8 channel
A/D 12 bit chip with individual channel range selection,
all IIC programable. I'm just changing from a Burr Brown 16 bit
single channel chip parallel output. It required a lot of other chips
to get the same functionality that this maxim chip has.
