What is the 0v ref for the 2051 ?
It sounds like the gate is floating, if the supply is taken off a floating transformer. a 5v pulse needs a reference to the triac pins. BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL how you isolate/float this circuit. Personally I'd use an opto isolated triac to pilot the main triac. Steve |
