I rechecked my connections and have actually solved the problam. I had forgotten to tie the GND on the RPC to the 8051 GND and had 2 pins connected backwards. They work fine now sending AA hex and RXer flashes LED after comparing what it RXed to AA. LED comes on if they're the same. Wondering if any of ye wanted the code if ye ever use RPCs?
