#37232 - RE: 19 digit MUX in software? |
HI
Thanks for all your valuable suggestions. The 19 digits planned to controll not directly from uC but from 3 74hc164 shift reg cascaded (or may be 89c1051). The segments will be controlled directly from a 8 bit port which is also used for 8 key return lines. After displaying the 19 digit, 20th scan is reserved for key sensing. So i should not see a io shortage for EEPROM, SPI, Buzzer etc Another point is the crystal that can be 20MHZ to incease in speed of execution. so,i can use Timer2 to generate standard baud rates. Mr Micheal Kara concern for the type of ADC, count conversion, load cell preamplifier, calibration etc, i have some previous experience on this. If weighing data needs to be updated 10hz rate, then i do not see any overhead problem. O.K let me start the project with your blessings. Regards, V.Nagarajan. |
