In the thread below "SDCC Vs RAID Vs KEIL" there are some interesting numbers:
SDCC size of 9781 bytes.
Keil C size of 2768 bytes.

this is followed by a comparison of the "pay-for" compilers which come in at a 20% variance which can be a difference in optimisation emphasis.
