You can use a timer to generat a 400 Hz tone (like dial tone on PSTN) on any port pin. In order to generate 400 Hz, you should program the timer to interrupt after every 1.25ms, and complement th port pin.
This would be a square wave, and if you need a quality tone, you should use some filtering. A separate tone generator would be more apropriate solution. |
