Some would call that a HEX2DEC routine and you should be able to find some published. This will drive Steve crazy: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There is a shortcut in 8051 that allows you to do this very efficiently if you know binary mathematics but HEX2DEC is a trivial problem and its not worth revealing that secret over. :-) -Jay C.
