when driving a transistor, figure as follows:
a resistor from the uC pin to the transistor base calculated by: voltage = (Voh min for the Uc - Vbe sat for the transistor), current = (the Io at which the Voh min for the uC is specified). Based on that select your transistor with enough gain etc to saturate with that current. Erik |
