Are you sure Erik ? LITHIUM ION explode very spectacularly, but I could get busted for Ni-Cad abuse over the years.

Hot, nasty, wrecked, but never exploded any, even when accidentally charged at 200 x Capacity+. The can vents any overpressure, and the chemistry is not exothermic in the pressence of oxygen.

Li-on however are lots of fun !
