#38655 - is Timer2 unreliable ?
i m using Timer2 as an Up/Down counter
(crystal 11,059 Mhz)
i tied Up/Down pin to VCC
i have a 400 pulse AB encoder which i multiply by 4 using a GAL16V8 logic
(GAL clock is 100 Khz )
i connect output of GAL to T2 counter input
in 1 turn of encoder i measure following counts : 909,846,907,955,943,863 and so on .
fully meaningless counts
i change Intel for Atmel - same thing !

i do following - i run Timer0 with same count pulses from GAL
i get exactly 1600 count

is timer2 unreliable or m i doing something wrong ?
