Thanks guys, i'll look it up, i got the boards on ebay, im more used to the basic stamp, just thought i'd like to try something different, i would like to frop the basic and get into assembly instead, i figure the 52-basic might be a starting point for getting to know the 8052.
just one more point though, yes there is a switch on the board (S1), i have'nt figured how to use it yet thought as i cant get PROG to work so cant save data yet, still , i'll look up elektor as you surgest
