Looking at the subject I thought the Timer 2 in the AT89S8252 had a problem too. Some time back someone else had a thread on unreliable timer2 in another 8051 derivative.

Anyway it is a relief - its just that your poor compiler does not know what you mean by the SFRs mentioned by you.
