#3932 - Looking for a memory replacement..
I have succesfuly managed to burn the memory chip of my LCD panel.
Since it is an expensive panel i wish to try and repair it.
However i can't find the same chip here in Greece.

The controller board uses a 28pin SOIC package of the LGS GM76C88-150ns which is an 8k * 8bits SRAM (64Kbits). I know that there are some compatible chips such as 6264, 8464, 5165.

Does anyone know of other replacements for this chip or the companies i should look for ??
I was given an advice to search for a larger chip (256Kbits) which is probably easier to obtain. Since it uses the same package i would just have to ground some address pins.

Any other ideas ??
