Hello Erik,

in a master slave network only the master can start a communication, followed by a slaves answer, so no collision should occur. Even if a error occurs and more then one slave is talking at the same time, the master can stop them because due to the full duplex characteristic of the bus the masters tx / slaves rx line is not disturbed by talking slaves. I found the no short circuit benefit worthful.
