#39509 - IAP over Remote link - over Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello All,
Thanks for the suggestions and tips. I am now convinced that it is NOT going to be easy to implement IAP over telephone - not that it is impossible - but the trouble is not worth the benefits. Maybe my product manual can brag about " Automatic Remote Updates "... I originally thought that I will have a dedicated modem at the customer's end for this purpose. Mike's idea to use a dedicated chip for this was new to me. Good. And as for IAP routines, I was planning to use the built in ones. So, till I find the next customer who can fund this R&D, my current project is underway with the Comm Port + LapTop + FlashMagic combo. Cheers Raghu |
