#39520 - Any Winbond W78E58-40 experiences |
I would have a good source of W78E58-40 for
cheap. AVRs are my native "family" of microcontroller, but I have been interested in getting also into 8051s, since they are so easy to get, and cheap. I was just wondering what programming tools you recommend. I already had a look at the compilers, and most of the commercial ones are horrifyingly expensive. (Keil, IAR, Raissonance,...) (I use AVRCodeVision and am very happy with it) Dunfield Development Systems sells an 8051 compiler for about 100 dollars that is just a DOS command line program without an IDE. I have SDCC, and I have heard it has problems. (?) For programmers, the links Winbond has on their website are all to expensive gang programmers. I am waiting on a reply from Elnec.com, who have a programmer for AVRs,AT89s(8051s), and Winbonds. Thanks for any help, William |
