#39606 - RE: RS232 interface Dot matrix printer Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Frank,
The serial printers I first found with my search on Google were made by Tally, and looked to be commerial grade; you could even get models that handle wide paper... But because these are not made in the quantites that the cheapie ink jet printers, you'll pay for it. Michael's suggestion of getting a used laser printer with a serial interface is a good one, if you're only dealing with one or two printers. Beware that getting supplies and parts for some of the older printers can be difficult also. (We can't get parts for our HP 4MV printer anymore. When something breaks, it's dead.) Dennis |
