I have to replace a couple of small, 20-year old 6502-based systems. The main part of the design is digital and analog IO, so a 805x replacement is quite feasible. Problem is that the output is currently displayed on a normal composit B/W video monitor (40 ch x 16 lines text only) which for a number of reasons should be reused if possible (they are built in into consoles). I have used an 6845 long ago, but I found these are no longer available. Does anyone of you know of a readily available similar device for this purpose (other than CPLD solutions or changing to an LCD display)?
