I got a quote from EBV this morning on my maximum performance 8051. They say a 16 week lead time on the part:

That's a 44 pin VQFP, -40C to +85C Reel (our production does automated pick & place and reflow solding of SMT parts)

Rauf, thank you for the offer but Dallas Semi and Atmel 8051s don't contain everything we require in any of their chips. I'll check again this morning for their new releases.

Philips was *supposed* to have their Rx2 chips out by now... we have some early samples running in our lab. Temic appears to have done a better job of it than Philips. We've been using Philips Rx+ series which run fine at 12Mhz but the new Temic is better value.
