#40228 - when to set or clear a parity bit?? |
i'm sure this is discussed before, but i didn't found something intresting.
i'm programming an AT keyboard to my uC (80C54). and while sending bytes to the keyboard for setting the LED's. when i send the hex code 02H to the keyboard, i have to set the parity bit and when i send the hex code 03H i have to clear the parity bit. the keyboard needs een odd parity bit. but how do i know when to set or clear the parity bit? thanks in advance.
