Hi,
I'm working on an RPC project and would like to get power(5V) for the TXER from the 8051. The is a 5V line of my 8051 Eval board but I cant find any current info in data sheets on it. There is an L7805CV regulator on the board, supplying "OUTPUT CURRENT UP TO 1.5 A"(datasheet), so I assume this is giving the 5V. I need to drive the RPC which needs a "Single 5V supply @ < 20mA"(datasheet). Will it be safe to bring the 5V straight to the RPC?
