While it's almost pointless mentioning it now, some of you probably discovered that 8052.com was not available from about 7pm CST Thursday until about 9am CST Friday. This was due to a routing problem with our upstream ISP. The good news is that they repaired the problem promptly upon being notified of the situation. The bad news is, of course, that we had about 14 hours of downtime. The ISP apologized for the downtime and I, too, apologize for that downtime.

In other news, I've been kind of absent for the last week or so. I've been upgrading my laptop workstation from Windows XP to Linux and between testing, downloading, etc. that's been absorbing most of my time. I'm now happily settled into Linux and will be able to get back to "real work" starting Monday morning.

This includes a new version of the forum that is almost complete. The beta-testers have informed me I have a few "user interface" issues (color schemes, etc.) that I have to deal with but hopefully I'll have that resolved and online within a week or so.
