The '1210 is 4 clocks per instruction isn't it. Perhaps Basic-320 will get you where you want to go. Basic320

The key point is the "autobaud" routine at startup as it using instruction timings. I wanted to try Basic-52 with the '420 so i just modified the standard source to with a fixed value for 19.2.
