Tape drive? What kind of tape drive?
Are you hankering back to the days of The Tarbell Cassette format? Actually I think tape format for embeded systems is a total waste of time....Why dont you look at interfacing a COMPACT FLASH card. There are project sites on the web about this subject. As a mater of fact somebody posted here in the last week or so that they were working on this. These days you can get compact flash cards up to 512MBytes. There is the IBM Microdrive which is a 1GByte hard drive that is the size of a double high compact flash card with the same interface. Way better than tape. Michael Karas |
