#40922 - This forum in general |
It seems to me that we are attracting the wrong people to this forum, indeed it's obvious that many are student requests (projects), or has aready been stated people who do not posses the required skills to carry out the task they are posting about.
I find that part of the "fun" is finding a solution without posting trivia, there's a world of information on the internet, you just need to invest some time to find it. As an example, I decided to have a look at SDCC again, downloaded and installed it on my PC, and wrote a simple port toggling program, sucess it worked, so I tried to send a string using printf("xxx") and it failed to complile, due to a lack of putchar routine, at first I was puzzled (I mainly use assembler) but a few minutes searching and I found inspiration that lead to me writing a routine and all's well. I put a post regarding CPLD's as they are new to me and I find that there is not the kind of resources out there that exist for say the 8051, I appreciate all those that posted a reply. I don't mind helping if I can, but I object to helping those who have obviously not bothered to try and help themselves first. |
