#40972 - Rob, Thermocouple Circuit Review Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Rob Redding:
My objective is to have one hardware design that will work with any thermocouple and have it be accurate. This way to support a different thermocouple I can just reprogram my 8051 boards to with the new thermocouple's high order polynomial. Question, Does the 20Mhz 8052 have enough horse power to calculate high order poly? I am aware of the linear techs LT1025 and the example circuits they provide. However, Different thermocouples require different hardware. Also, I believe these circuit don't support the full range of the thermocouples provided. Another down fall is the cold junction can not go to very low temperatures. Does any one know anyone who attempted such a design? |
