#40988 - RE: still the same ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
It's really amazing to see how stubborn you actually are.

Last week you posted a similar production of yours that simply couldn't work. I pointed out why. Now you use the same blurry piece of code with some slight changes, still containing the same errors.

Either you don't care writing code that doesn't even deserve to be called code, or you don't read replies to the questions you ask.

A couple of weeks back, I have taken the time make and send you a schematic diagram and the corresponding, over-documented 13-page code for a 8052-based clock containing the components of your choice. I pointed out that your selection of electronics wasn't actually the best, but allas. Additionally I have sent a 10-page 'how to' on using interrupts. Most of the questions that you have been posting during the past weeks are actually answered in these documents, which leads me to believe that you haven't actually taken the time to do anything with it. For your information: the concept of a look-up table for friving 7-seg displays is discussed on pages 4 - 8 of the code description for your clock.

So once again: your code is <big><big>not</big></big> correct. First make sure that when you use 'call' there's a corresponding 'return' (see the tutorials on subroutines). Then look for a discussion on lookup tables, as has been pointed out here many, many times.

If after that you still believe that we are pointing you in the wrong direction, stop posting the same questions and incorrect code over and over again, as it will be obvious then that we can't help you with sound solutions. Besides that: it's a waste of valuable disk-space on the server.
