A brain exercise:
hmmmm, it might be fun to analyze the stack area as it leaves some nice signatures *IF* you are using assembly language and avoiding high level languages' overuse of stack for variable passing. I'd only recommend this for thesis work. :) Obviously the stack pointer will be reset, but the string in the stack area can leave nice clues within its chain of active return addresses and subsequent inactive speckled remnants. But it you pop data values excessively, the rate of return should evaporate quickly. If you write flat code, this would be of lesser value. -Jay C. Box |
